The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) and American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) – Greater Detroit Chapter, West Michigan Chapter, and Mid- Michigan Chapter recognize the value of establishing a collaborative relationship to foster safer and more healthful Michigan workplaces. To that end, MIOSHA and ASSP – Greater Detroit Chapter, West Michigan Chapter, and Mid-Michigan Chapter hereby form an alliance to provide ASSP – Greater Detroit Chapter, West Michigan Chapter, and Mid-Michigan Chapter members and others with information, guidance, and access to training resources that will help them protect the health and safety of workers, particularly by reducing and preventing exposure to occupational hazards and occupational health and safety issues, and understand the rights of workers and the responsibilities of employers under the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Act (MIOSH Act).
