Washburn University and Washburn Tech previously signed and returned to the Department of Education the Funding Certification and Agreement Emergency Grants to Students under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. By drawing down the funds from the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA), Washburn University and Washburn Tech agreed to terms and conditions under the CRRSAA. Washburn University and Washburn Tech received a total $2,250,087 to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students. Funds will need to be fully utilized through a block grant based on criteria from the Spring 2021 semseter.
