As of this year, under the Affordable Care Act, applicable large employers (such as Sarpy County) are required to file information returns with the IRS and also provide statements to full- time employees about health coverage. These returns, known as the 1094-C and 1095-C (see attached), help the IRS two-fold: determine whether employers properly offered coverage to eligible employees (or owe an employer shared responsibility payment to the IRS) and whether an employee is eligible for the premium tax credit.
