This Agreement is effective July1, 2005 by and between the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (hereinafter called the University) and the Health Related Professions Faculty Association/NJEA at the UMDNJ (herein after called the Association). The parties recognize that it is the responsibility of the University to provide a quality educational program, to encourage the development of new knowledge through research, and to provide service to the larger community and that this Agreement is intended to contribute to the fulfillment of those responsibilities. The parties recognize and declare that it is their mutual goal to maintain a harmonious relationship in determining terms and conditions of employment. To this end they mutually enter into this Agreement intended to state the employment relationship between the University and the Association under applicable State and Federal law.
