Patients at malnutrition risk, had increased LOS, as predicted by each assessment tool: albu- min (P<0.001), MUST (P<0.001) and NRI (P<0.001). ConClusions: Inexpensive and easy to use tools like MUST and NRI can be utilized in routine clinical practice for early detection and treatment of patients at risk of malnutrition as it decreases associated healthcare costs and post-operative outcomes.
