Employees hired on or after July 1, 1996 will be entitled to six (6) days of absence accumulated at the rate of one (1) day per month, three (3) days of which may be used as personal days and three (3) days available to him/her when a family responsibility arises because of illness during the first year of service. During the employee’s second year of service, he/she shall be entitled to eight (8) days of absence accumulated at the rate of one (1) day per month for the same purposes described above. During the third (3rd) year of service such will be entitled to ten (10) days of absence accumulated at the rate of one (1) day per month for the same purposes.
