Members of the bargaining unit will be granted twelve (12) days contract sick leave with pay based upon the following schedule for each fiscal year, all such leave to be credited and made available on the first contract service day of each fiscal year for returning employees and on the first day of service for new employees. For unit members who are on 177-day contracts, each unit member will receive a total of seventy-two (72) hours of contract sick leave per fiscal year where each hour consists of 60 minutes. Effective July 1, 2016 for unit members who are on 194-day teaching contracts, each unit member will receive a total of eighty (80) seventy-two (72) hours of contract sick leave per fiscal year where each hour consists of 60 minutes. For unit members who are on 194-day/35 hour contracts, each unit member will receive a total of eighty-four (84) hours of contract sick leave per fiscal year where each hour consists of sixty (60) minutes.
