The following Agreement effective as of the first of July, 2007, by and between the Town of North Kingstown, Rhode Island, hereafter referred to as the Town, and Local 473, I.B.P.O., N.A.G.E., hereinafter referred to as the Union, is recorded in written form to meet the requirements as set forth in Section 28-9.2-6 in the general laws of R.I., 1956, as amended, such Title being known as the Policemen's Arbitration Act. This Agreement is designed to provide for an equitable and peaceful procedure for the resolution of differences in accordance with the grievance procedure specified herein, in order to maintain and promote a harmonious relationship between the Union and the Town and to encourage more effective police service in the public interest.
