This Agreement entered into by the City of New Haven, hereinafter referred to as the City, and the New Haven Police Union Elm City Local, CACP, hereinafter referred to as the Union, has as its purpose the promotion of harmonious relations between the City and the Union, the establishment of an equitable and peaceful procedure for the resolution of differences, and establishment of rates of pay, hours of work, working privileges or benefits or any other matters that come within the general meaning of the terms, working conditions or conditions of employment, as provided for in the Municipal Employee Relations Act of the State of Connecticut.
