To support the Georgia Comprehensive Cancer Registry (which has collected data on all cancer cases diagnosed among Georgia residents since January 1, 1995) by hiring and maintaining a full-time Regional Cancer Registry Coordinator in four designated regions (North, Central, Southwest, and Southeast; Districts 1-2, 5-2, 8-2, 9-1) to provide technical assistance to all cancer reporting facilities in the region and perform medical record abstractions for any newly-diagnosed cancer cases in small facilities with less than 50 licensed beds.
