This Agreement, by and between the Town of Newtown, hereinafter referred to as the "Town", and the Newtown Police Union, Local #3153, Council #15, AFSCME, AFL-CIO, hereinafter referred to as the "Union", is designed to maintain and promote a harmonious relationship between the Town and the Union in order that efficient public service may be rendered. Throughout this document hereinafter the term "Chief shall refer to the Chief of Police or their designee.
