Contract Type FiledSeptember 1st, 2009Provisions regarding leave of absences are found in the certified staff agreement and the Handbook for Classified Personnel. Days without pay cannot be taken by a certified or classified member without the approval of the superintendent or his designee. The days granted may not exceed five days (or 10 days when students are not in session) other than extended illness where the employee has exhausted his/her available sick days. Any days beyond five (or 10 days when students are not in session) would need the approval of the Board of School Trustees.
