REIMBURSABLE SPACE ACT AGREEMENT BETWEENReimbursable Space Act Agreement • April 8th, 2021
This Agreement shall be for the purpose of allowing NASA GRC and Acree to create a partnership to integrate NASA GRC's environmental barrier coating ("EBC") technology and Acree's high temperature sensor technology and, in turn, test the integrated system to generate performance data in simulated engine environments. NASA GRC is at the leading edge of the EBC technology involved in this activity. The work is consistent with NASA's missions, including the NASA Hydrogen Technology and Energy Curriculum ("HyTEC") program, because it will enhance NASA GRC's expertise and leadership in EBC technology and because it will give NASA experience with a temperature-sensing technology that, if successfully validated, potentially could be incorporated into NASA efforts involving EBC technology, such as HyTEC. In addition, the work will provide Acree the opportunity to validate its temperature sensor technology in engine-relevant environments.
