DISCUSSION: Eastern Florida State College and Brevard Public Schools are partnering to provide GED classes to eligible students who wish to learn a construction trade. The classes will be hosted at Eastern Florida State College and they will be reimbursing the District for the part time GED instructor. The project is funded through a grant from the United States Department of Labor. CONTRACT TERM: The initial contract term shall commence October 1, 2014 and continue until December 8, 2017. RECOMMENDATION: October 31, 2014 It is the recommendation of Cyndi Van Meter, Associate Superintendent, Curriculum and Instruction, Jeff Arnott, Director of Adult and Community Education, and staff, to approve the attached agreement with Eastern Florida State College for the Youthbuild Program.
