this agreement or transferred into the bargaining unit, shall become a member of the Union following his hire or transfer into the Bargaining Unit and shall maintain mem- bership; and not laterthan the thirtieth (30th.) day follow- ing the effective date of this agreement all employees in the Bargaining Unit who are not members of the Union shall become members of the Union and shall maintain membership as a condition of employment.
