The Development Agreement is between Sarasota County (County), the City of North Port (City), the West Villages Improvement District (“WVID”), Manasota Beach Ranchlands, LLLP, (Developer), Calben (US) Corporation, (Developer Guarantor) and Atlanta National League Baseball Club, LLC, (Braves). The County, the City, the WVID, the Developer, the Developer Guarantor and the Braves. It provides for the collective planning, design, financing and the construction of the facility by the parties and the off-site infrastructure and the irrigation improvements by WVID through their respective roles. The County, the City and WVID, have determined that the planning, design, financing and the construction of the facility and the performance of this agreement are in the best interests of the County, the City and WVID, respectively, and will serve a paramount public purpose.
