To this end, the Valdez School District employs threat assessment teams at the district and individual school level. Threat assessment teams function in accordance with the Valdez School District Threat Assessment Guidebook as attached by exhibit to BP3515. The purpose of a threat assessment team is to promote overall safety and security with an emphasis on incident prevention for all school district stakeholders. This is accomplished by identifying and addressing potential threats in a timely manner.
