The Town has worked with the Utah Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands (FFSL) on a grant project to remove Russian olive and tamarisk trees from Springdale and surrounding areas. In partnership with and on behalf of the Town, FFSL applied for and was awarded a Western LSR grant to fund the project. The total project cost is $614,262. The Western LSR grant reimburses $300,0001 of the total project cost. The remaining $314,262 is the Town’s responsibility.
