Consolidated Election Instructions & Absentee Ballot Transmittal FormElection Coordination Agreement • June 10th, 2019
Contract Type FiledJune 10th, 2019Michigan Election Law allows for the consolidation of election precincts for the conduct of special school elections. School districts may have voters in multiple jurisdictions and counties requiring school election coordinating committees to meet every four years in order to develop an election coordinating plan for the conduct of all special school elections. These agreements identify jurisdictions as either “opt-in” jurisdictions choosing to open a precinct hosting voters on Election Day or “opt-out” jurisdictions declining the option to open a precinct to their voters, instead allowing their voters to be consolidated into a neighboring “opt-in” jurisdiction precinct by action of the County Election Commission.
