The Employer and the Union jointly recognize the need for efficient operations that enable the Employer to be competitive thereby creating an environment conducive to success. When negotiating terms and conditions of employment the parties recognize the importance of adapting to change, promoting flexibility, productivity and employee involvement in the workplace. Both parties agree that their mutual interest lies in friendly co-operation to promote the welfare of both the Employer and the employees.
