AMENDED AND RESTATED PRINCIPAL UNDERWRITING AGREEMENT THIS PRINCIPAL UNDERWRITING AGREEMENT, between FUNDAMENTAL INVESTORS, INC., a Maryland corporation (the "Fund"), and AMERICAN FUNDS DISTRIBUTORS, INC., a California corporation ("the Distributor").
