If you initiate and are responsible for sales of shares a) amounting to $1 million or more or b) made at net asset value to retirement plans of organizations with collective retirement plan assets of $100 million or more, you will be paid a dealer commission of 1.00% on sales to $2 million, plus 0.80% on amounts over $2 million up to $3 million, plus 0.50% on amounts over $3 million up to $50 million, plus 0.25% on amounts over $50 million up to $100 million, plus 0. 15% on amounts over $100 million. For each account of a shareholder of the respective Companies (and accounts related by the fight of accumulation), only such net asset value sales made over a 12 month period (commencing from the date of the first such sale) will be considered for purposes of determinin the level of dealer commissions to be paid during that period with respect to such account(s). INVESTMENT ADVISORY AND SERVICE AGREEMENT AGREEMENT, made as of this 1st day of December, 1991, by and between FUNDAMENTAL INVESTORS, INC., a Maryland corporation (the "Fund"), and CAPITAL RESEARCH AND MANAGEMENT COMPANY, a Delaware corporation (the "Adviser"). 1. The Fund hereby employs the Adviser to furnish advice to the Fund with respect to the investment and reinvestment of the assets of the Fund.
