By entering this contest, I hereby agree that should my previously-published newspaper narrative be judged as one of the winners of the Mayborn’s Best American Newspaper Narrative Writing Contest (the “Contest”), meaning being designated as the first, second, or third place winner or one of the three runners-up or one of the four notable narratives, then upon announcement of the prize, I shall grant non-exclusive publication rights in print and e- book form to the Frank W. Mayborn Graduate Institute of Journalism/UNT Press, in order to publish in print and e-book form an anthology of the winning entries. Copyright to the piece is NOT transferred to Mayborn/UNT Press; only a grant of rights to publication is required.
