Background. The City Staff has been working with representatives of Verizon for a site within the geographical boundaries of the City for a Verizon antenna array to improve telecommunications services for its customer base specifically within Clare. Verizon representatives have opted to forego a stand-alone antenna and simply erect a relatively low level (70’) antenna array system below the lower ring on the City’s water tower and have offered a proposed lease agreement (copy att’d) to facilitate the construction and erection of the antenna array.
