By 6 October 2022, none of the Contracting Parties to the above-mentioned Agreement had communicated an objection to the Secretary-General. Consequently, in accordance with the provisions of article 14 (3) of the Agreement, the proposed amendments to annexes A and B, as amended, shall enter into force for all Contracting Parties on 1 January 2023.

The Government of the French Republic, in accordance with paragraph 1 of article 14 of the above Agreement, has transmitted to the Secretary-General the text of the proposed amendments to Annexes A and B, as amended, to the above Agreement. It will be recalled that the text of these proposed amendments had been approved by the Working Party on the Transport of Dangerous Goods of the Economic Commission for Europe at its 110th session.

This standard is applicable to the following sub-sections and paragraphs of ADR: 6.2.3.1 and 6.2.3.3, 6.8.2.1.1 and 6.8.2.2.1. It specifies the design, type testing, marking, manufacturing tests and examinations requirements for valves used as follows, in the transport of compressed gases, liquefied gases and dissolved gases:

In accordance with article 3, paragraph 2, of the Protocol amending article 14 (3) of the Agreement of 30 September 1957 concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR) of 21 August 1975, which entered into force on 19 April 1985, any State becoming a Party to the Agreement after the entry into force of the Protocol shall be a Party to the Agreement, as amended by the Protocol.
