spectrum of drift waves. Linear and renormalized nonlinear theory of the drift and ion cyclotron instabilities in the plasma shear flow across the magnetic field was investigated. It was proved, that shear flow across the magnetic field has stabilizing effect on the development of the instabilities considered.
