On June 20, 2006, your Board approved an extension to the 20 year old agreement with the City of Santa Cruz that provides for the construction and operation of a septage receiving facility at the Santa Cruz Wastewater Treatment Plant. At that time, your Board directed staff to negotiate a new agreement and return to your Board for approval. The new agreement has been prepared by City and County staff and is now being submitted to your Board and City Council for approval. The new agreement provides for increased disposal capacity and updated procedures that reflect the current use and operation of the facility.
