Agreement for the Delivery of Water Sample Contracts

SUBJECT: Consider Agreement for the Delivery of Metropolitan Water District of Southern California State Water Project Water to West Valley Water District
Agreement for the Delivery of Water • May 27th, 2021

West Valley Water District serves a small area of east Fontana that is outside of Valley District’s service area and in the service area of Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (Metropolitan) and its member-agency Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA). In 2018, Metropolitan, IUEA, WVWD and Valley District (collectively “Parties”) entered into a two-year agreement that coordinated the delivery of up to 800 acre-feet of Metropolitan’s State Water Project (SWP) supply to the portion of WVWD’s service area that is within the Metropolitan/IEUA service area. The agreement expired on December 31, 2020. WVWD would like to preserve this option for this portion of their service area and has requested a new agreement.
