The Sheriffs Detention Bureau currently contracts with American Alarm for three types of security electronics maintenance services for the Detention Bureau, including scheduled semi- annual maintenance, non-scheduled maintenance and emergency maintenance. These services are provided to all of the Sheriffs Detention facilities. In a recent change to the agreement with American Alarm, the contracts listed on the 2006-07 Continuing Agreements List for scheduled semi-annual maintenance and non-scheduled maintenance were combined into one contract for a total of $139,325.

The Sheriffs Detention Bureau currently contracts with American Alarm for three types of security electronic maintenance services at the Main Jail including scheduled semi-annual maintenance, non-scheduled maintenance and emergency maintenance. These services, initiated in 2004, have proved cost effective and provided for an enhanced level of security at that facility. In a recent change to the agreement with American Alarm, as reflected in the 2005-06 Continuing Agreements List, the scheduled semi-annual maintenance service was extended to Blaine Street and the medium and minimum security facilities on Rountree Lane.
