The United States Department of Energy (hereafter “DOE”) and the Australian Safeguards and Nonproliferation Office (hereafter (hereafter called “the Parties”), sharing a desire to continue to cooperate on research, development, testing, and evaluation of technology, equipment, and procedures in order to improve nuclear material control, accountancy, verification, physical protection, and advanced containment and surveillance technologies for international safeguards, hereby agree as follows:
