This policy pays due regard to the Equality Act 2010, Keeping Children Safe in Education 2022, the SEN Code of Practice 2014, the DfE Behaviour and discipline in schools advice for Head Teachers and school staff document published January 2016, Behaviour in Schools January 2022, the searching, screening and confiscation advice for Head Teachers, School Staff and Governing Bodies January 2022 and the sexual violence and sexual harassment between children in schools and colleges December 2017. Behaviour for Learning at DHSG forms part of the wider School commitment to outstanding learning in every classroom. The purpose of this policy is to facilitate and enable effective learning. Accordingly, this policy should be read in conjunction with the School’s Learning and Teaching Policy.
