On June 28th 2016, the City of Brantford and County of Brant Council signed a Boundary Adjustment Agreement that will see 2719 gross hectares of land brought into the City of Brantford’s municipal boundary. In anticipation of the boundary adjustment, City staff delayed the release of the draft Official Plan to align these strategic initiatives and to make revisions to the draft Official Plan where necessary. With the Boundary Adjustment Agreement now signed, the City of Brantford is excited to launch the first draft of the new Official Plan which is consistent with the Boundary Adjustment Agreement and delineates the Future Urban Growth Area in the new draft Official Plan.
