Westlake City School District recognizes that Electronic Communication Devices (ECDs) are an important part of the everyday world and are increasingly being used in teaching and learning. Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) is an educational technology practice that permits students and staff to bring their personal laptops, netbooks, tablets, smartphones , eReaders and other devices capable of connecting to the school network. Staff access to eTextbooks, multimedia content, online resources, and ECDs may complement the educational process in the classroom. It is for this reason the district has created a BYOD network. Please read the following agreement and return the form with the required signature.
