AFJROTC is a full credit elective course offered by the Texarkana School District at Arkansas high School (AHS). It is a unique course of instruction because the US Air Force has established certain requirements which must be met before academic credit can be given. This agreement, like an education contract, serves to provide general guidelines concerning these requirements to each cadet and encourage a commitment on their part to develop self-discipline and responsibility for personal actions.

Students/cadets understand the focus of the program is to become a “citizen of character,” which includes followership and leadership training, and therefore preparing cadets for their future endeavors.
