In the coming weeks the Department is expecting to receive authorization from MoDOT to bid our federally funded Route 109 & BA Roundabout project. Assuming a successful bid this winter, we anticipate having a contractor approved to begin work in spring 2025. In that regard, there will be a significant level of construction engineering effort necessary to administer the project, given the reporting, testing, and inspection requirements of the federal funding. Given the current staffing of the Department, we will need an engineering firm to provide the construction engineering services during construction, which include daily reporting, record keeping, along with construction and materials inspections. To that end, the Department requested that HR Green provide a proposal for this work, which after some review and negotiation has been attached as Exhibit A.
