Re: City-Contractor Agreement with Precision Concrete for Sidewalk Repairs
City-Contractor Agreement • June 8th, 2023 • Missouri

Last year, the Department engaged Precision Concrete Cutting (PCC) to eliminate potential sidewalk trip hazards along several streets within Westhampton Woods, Garden Valley, and Oak Ridge Trails subdivisions. PCC’s proprietary equipment cuts the sidewalk and leaves a much cleaner, smoother finish than conventional grinding. PCC not only removes potential sidewalk trip hazards, but they also complete a survey in advance to determine the magnitude and cost of repairs necessary, which relieves staff of that effort. Their equipment removes slab differentials between 3/8”-2”. We found PCC’s work to be very good, and no complaints were received from residents last year.

Re: Proposed City-Contractor Agreement with Spencer Contracting for the 2022 Community
City-Contractor Agreement • January 5th, 2022

The St. Louis County Office of Community Development has granted funds to the City of Wildwood to improve sidewalk curb ramps to meet ADA criteria, under the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG), in previous years. For 2021, an amount of $25,500 was awarded to the City for curb ramp replacement, which is proposed for use in Lafayette Trails Subdivision during spring 2022. It should be noted that the cost of curb ramp replacement work in Lafayette Trails subdivision exceeds the amount of the grant. The Department is planning to fund the balance of cost from our sidewalk replacement budget in 2022. (Please see Exhibit A for the location of Lafayette Trails subdivision.)
