Communities from the different regions of Canada are already confronted with the effects of climate change. Some must face more severe droughts, while others face more violent storms. The longer, colder winters and hotter summers increase damage to municipal infrastructure. All of these impacts cost cities and municipalities millions of dollars, and communities will expect that adaptation measures be implemented.
