Contract Type FiledJuly 31st, 2017ClinicalConnect Participation Agreement Now in Effect Legislative changes made in the last year to the Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004 (PHIPA), as well as the evolving regional and provincial eHealth landscape, necessitated a review of the ClinicalConnect agreement framework, particularly with respect to how physicians gain access to the portal. As a result, on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, the 'old' Data Sharing Agreement signed by healthcare organizations wishing to provision access for their staff to ClinicalConnect was replaced with the new Participation Agreement. While the majority of the access requirements remain the same, one distinct difference is that the new Agreement better enables physicians operating as Sole Healthcare Practitioners to apply and gain access to the portal to support the delivery of more efficient healthcare in their private practices.
