JAL Starts Code Sharing with China Eastern Airlines on Haneda, Tokyo - Hongqiao, Shanghai Route

JAL and China Eastern Airlines will both inaugurate their own daily service between Haneda and Hongqiao airports from September 29, 2007. The bilateral code share agreement will enable the airlines to place their airline code designators on each others flights from that date.

ANA and Air Macau’s first ever code-sharing agreement -

TOKYO June 15, 2010 - ANA and Air Macau will commence a code-sharing and reciprocal mileage agreement on July 1 this year, under which ANA will place its NH flight code on Air Macau’s Narita-Macau and Osaka-Macau flights, and Air Macau placing its NX code on ANA’s domestic flights. In this manner, ANA and Air Macau will expand their respective networks into Southern China and Japan, giving passengers increased convenience and ease when traveling between the two countries.

ANA and Shenzhen Airlines to Start Code-sharing in May

TOKYO March 19, 2009 ANA and Shenzhen Airlines will commence a code-sharing and reciprocal mileage agreement on May 20 this year, under which ANA will place its NH flight code on Shenzhen Airline’s four weekly Osaka-Fuzhou-Shenzhen flights, and Shenzhen Airlines will place its ZH code on ANA flights between Tokyo Narita and Guangzhou/ Xiamen, as well as Osaka Kansai-Xiamen flights. The airlines will also code-share on ANA operated domestic flights between Tokyo Haneda and Osaka Kansai. In this manner, ANA and Shenzhen Airlines will expand their respective networks into China and Japan, giving passengers increased convenience and ease when, for example, travelling between Tokyo and Shenzhen.

Initially the route will be plied by ANA using a 216 seat Boeing 767-300ER in a two-class configuration. From July 1 it will be replaced by a Boeing 737-700, which seats 120, also in a two-class configuration.

ANA and StarFlyer to Code-share on Tokyo – Osaka

The two Japanese airlines have been co-operating since February 2006, when StarFlyer started using able, ANA’s reservation system, and ANA training facilities. The two have had a code-sharing agreement on StarFlyer operated flights between Haneda and Kitakyushu in southern Japan since June 2007. This latest development comes at the behest of StarFlyer for co-operation on its flights between Japan’s two main metropolitan centres.

ANA and Air China to Commence Code-sharing on Tokyo Haneda – Beijing

TOKYO September 10, 2009 Star Alliance members Air China and ANA will commence a code-sharing agreement on flights operated by both airlines between Beijing Capital International Airport and Tokyo’s Haneda Airport from October 25 this year.

ANA and Asiana to Code-share on Kansai—Seoul Gimpo

The new route linking Osaka-Kansai with the conveniently located Seoul-Gimpo, starting December 1, comes in addition to flights already offered by both airlines between Osaka Kansai and Seoul’s international hub, Incheon airport, giving customers a wider choice of departures to better fit their schedules. Customers belonging to the frequent flyer programmes of either airline will, as a matter of course, be able to accrue and redeem mileage on the code-sharing flights. The flights will be operated using Airbus A330-300 aircraft in a two-class configuration of 30 business class seats and 260 economy class seats.
