PREFACE: All Ohio schools closed for the remainder of the school calendar beginning on March 10, 2020, by order of the Governor and State Health Commissioner in response to the COVID 19 pandemic. Throughout June, little guidance was available from the State of Ohio regarding guidelines for school reopening for the 2020-2021 school year. School district Superintendents from each public school in Williams County, as well as the Williams County Health Commissioner, came together throughout June and July to identify common practices for school reopening in Williams County.

PREFACE: All Ohio schools closed for the remainder of the school calendar beginning on March 17, 2020, by order of the Governor and the Director of the Ohio Department of Health in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. On July 2, 2020 guidelines were released. School district superintendents from each public school district in Darke County, along with the Darke County Educational Service Center, and Darke County Health Department met on July 6, 2020 to identify common practices for school re-opening in Darke County.

All Ohio schools closed for the remainder of the school calendar beginning on March 17, 2020, by order of the Governor and State Health Commissioner in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. In early June, little guidance was available from Ohio Department of Education regarding guidelines for school re-opening for the 2020-21 school year. School district superintendents from each school district in Scioto County, Adams County (Manchester), Jackson County (Oak Hill) and Ross County (Paint Valley) along with the South Central Ohio Educational Service Center, came together to identify common practices for school re-opening in the SCOESC Membership. With collaboration from the Scioto County Health Department and the Scioto County Prosecutor’s office, the school listed above developed these general principles will guide each school district as they move forward with re-opening schools throughout the SCOESC Region:
