One such program is Community Solar. Community Solar is a guaranteed savings program administered through the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), which allows homeowners, renters, and businesses to enjoy the benefits of solar power without installing solar panels on their property. New Yorkers can enroll with a Community Solar provider at no cost to receive solar energy credits (directly on their monthly electric bill) from a solar farm located within their utility (National Grid). This will result in a 10% savings on the monthly electric bills.
