Generally speaking, if an individual’s behavior violates Company policy, corrective disciplinary measures will be taken. The severity of the disciplinary action depends upon, among other things, the nature and gravity of the offense and its impact on the organization, and the employee’s work record.

Contract Type FiledJune 21st, 2021As a Conrail employee, you are expected to protect your job assignment on a full-time basis. Unanticipated and unapproved absences from work, particularly a missed call and/or no-show negatively impact operations, commitments to customers, and a co-worker’s ability to plan for off-time activities. An employee who is unable to work full-time and protect their employment obligations may be considered in violation of this Policy regardless of the explanation offered. This policy will allow employees to monitor and/or notify employees of their attendance based on a predetermined points- based system.
