Whereas the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics received a notice of termination dated September 15, 2020 from the Athabasca Health Authority (AHA) describing behaviour which were described as aggressive and threatening towards a patient. During a call on June 21, 2020 the Member and his partner were providing care for a patient. On arrival at the hospital, the Member had a verbal altercation with the patient which escalated while the patient was on the stretcher. This ended with the Member’s arm placed on the patient’s neck. Whereas the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics received a complaint on May 19, 2022, regarding the Member’s interactions with her colleague on January 4, 2022. The concerns raised are that the Member made comments to her colleague, while in the workplace, that were both unprofessional and inappropriate. The comments qualified as verbal behavior that offended and humiliated her colleague and were unwarranted.
