WHEREAS, the District is authorized by Government Code § 53060 to contract with any persons for the furnishing of special services and advice in financial, economic, accounting, engineering, legal or administrative matters, if those persons are specially trained and experienced and competent to perform the special services required; and

WHERAS, the Program Funds and the additional funds received by the District under the Expanded Learning Opportunity Program have been provided so that the District may partner with a local non-profit organization to provide services in furtherance of the Program’s purpose to deliver enrichment activities, as described in Education Code Section 46120, for the benefit of students from the ending of each regular school day to 6 p.m.;
