This is a cost-plus-award-fee type contract for analytical services and testing at the 222-S Laboratory on the Hanford Site. The contractor shall furnish all personnel, facilities, equipment, material, supplies, and services (except as may be expressly set forth in this contract as furnished by the government) and otherwise do all things necessary for, or incident to, the performance of work as described in Section C, Performance Work Statement. The total performance period includes a ninety (90) day transition period, two-year base period, and three (3) 1-year option periods as shown below in the following individual Contract Line Items (CLINs):

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Environmental Management (EM) is responsible for the cleanup and legacy waste management activities at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant (PGDP or Paducah Site) located on a Federal reservation in Western Kentucky, approximately 10 miles west of Paducah, Kentucky and 3.5 miles south of the Ohio River. Consistent with the 1992 Energy Policy Act, DOE has leased portions of the Paducah Site to the United States Enrichment Corporation (USEC) for enrichment operations, while it retains responsibility for environmental restoration and related legacy waste management activities, including the future decontamination and decommissioning (D&D) of the facilities upon final plant shut down. Currently, the PGDP remains operational with the expectation that it will continue operations pending implementation of alternative commercial gas centrifuge facilities.
