COVENANT OF CAREDiocese of Cairns INTRODUCTION This is a written agreement regarding the involvement in church activities of: ………..… With…………..… To facilitate him/her to worship, celebrate and to receive support whilst safeguarding vulnerable people. We respect an individual’s right to their faith and seek to appropriately facilitate that. For those who have offended against children or who are viewed as a potential risk to vulnerable people, their presence will only be permitted in areas free of children and vulnerable people. The purpose of this agreement is to: • Minimize any potential risk to vulnerable people • To facilitate involvement in the church community • To promote an abuse/offence-free life The agreement will be reviewed regularly and will remain for an indefinite period.
