If approved by the enrolling School, PhD candidates may commence their PhD program at Edith Cowan University (ECU) while overseas (e.g. online, external, remote). Eligible programs are the Doctor of Philosophy (L61) and Doctor of Philosophy Integrated (J42). Approval for overseas commencement of the PhD is not automatic. Prior to commencement students will be required to hold the appropriate VISA for their study. If approved, candidates may also be permitted to commence their scholarship overseas, although this will depend on the scholarship awarded, country of residence and several other conditions.
