A draft collective agreement on conditions of service for Educators employed in terms of the Employment of Educators Act, Teachers Inventive. Members will note that the employer withdrew the policy on incentives for teachers working in rural schools in 2022. Teachers were eligible for an incentive for choosing to work in remote areas of the country, to improve the quality of education. Most teachers lost interest in working in rural schools when the incentive policy was withdrawn. The morale of Educators in rural schools remained down, as their efforts to contribute to the upliftment of the quality of education was ignored.
