Dual Credit Course Agreement • June 6th, 2018

Dual Credit Course Agreement – Each course requested by the high school for Dual Credit must be outlined and agreed upon by the ISD’s Curriculum Coordinator and the Palo Alto College Department Chair. The Course Agreement contains information concerning course information, faculty qualifications, and student eligibility requirements. In addition, the Course Agreement outlines the Instructional Materials (textbook/materials) required to cover curriculum in the classroom, as outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding. The Agreement is for three academic years from the first implementation term. Submission of a current syllabus is required with the form.

Dual Credit Course Agreement • February 24th, 2020

Del Mar College academic dual credit classes are taught by Del Mar instructors except for English 1301/1302 on GPHS campus. However, ALL Del Mar Dual Credit classes are taught under Del Mar College rules. Del Mar College is also responsible for all grades submitted to GPHS. Any grade appeals or course concerns should be directed to the DEL MAR COLLEGE instructor/department for that course. Parents are not allowed to communicate with professor(s) therefore all communication should be made through the student taking the course. There is a FERPA form the student can allow the parent to sign but communication is still very limited. FERPA forms are available online and should be submitted to Del Mar College. If an instructor suspects cheating or suspicious activity the student may be subject to failing or removal. All dual credit final grades will be placed on high school transcript. OPS, in partnership with USC, is pleased to offer our seniors the opportunity to receive college credit while still in our school. Each qualified senior will be given the opportunity to earn twelve college credits during their senior year. Through this Dual-Credit program, USC will use lottery money to cover the cost of the USC tuition. The parents will be responsible for the cost of the textbooks, which truly is a small fee for receiving college credits. These courses will transfer as USC credits.

OPS, in partnership with Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College, is pleased to offer our seniors the opportunity to receive college credit while still in our school. Each qualified senior will be given the opportunity to earn twelve college credits during their senior year. Through this Dual-Credit program, O-C Tech will use lottery money to cover the cost of the O-C Tech tuition. The parents will be responsible for the cost of the textbooks, which truly is a small fee for receiving college credits. These courses will transfer as O-C Tech credits. The courses will run according to the policies of O-C Tech and the instructor. Grades from these courses will appear on your child’s OPS transcript and calculated into your child’s GPA.

• All dual credit permission forms for off campus institutions (TMCC-Jump Start, SNC, UNR, etc.) must be signed by the IHS Counselor and administration prior to enrolling in a class. Permission Forms are available in the IHS Counseling Office.
