In Doncaster, Early Years’ providers can request Early Intervention Allowance (EIA) funding for a child with significant SEND. The funding is allocated from Doncaster Local Authority (High Needs Funding). It is intended to enable providers to meet the needs of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This is in keeping with the principles of the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Code of Practice (2015) and the Education Funding Reforms which came into effect from April 2013.
